Why Focus on Strengths?

From Let it Ripple Films, this film explores the neuroscience and social science behind character strengths and how we can shape who we are and who we want to be.

When asked to choose between focusing on strengths or focusing on weaknesses, most people choose to focus on their weaknesses, thinking that’s where they need the improvement.

However, science and research show that focusing on strengths not only makes people happier, it makes them more successful.  And it’s also shown that companies that focus on what’s good about their company, or where they are strong, become more successful, too.

Knowing and tapping into strengths can help:

  • Individuals be happier, improve health and have better relationships

  • Boost performance at school and work

  • Employees become more engaged

  • Accomplish goals

  • So much more!
